Cozy up with a Good Book Reading Challenge

‘Tis the season for coziness. Grab a blanket, your fluffy socks, and your favorite warm drink or snack! Hop into a reading nook and sink into a good book. Log your reading to earn badges all winter long. Reading will also earn you raffle tickets which you can enter to win award winning books from 2025! This challenge runs December 1st, 2025 - March 20th, 2026 and is open to grades preK-6.

To Participate:

• For kids in grades preK-6.
• Create a FREE account through Beanstack.
• Enroll in the Cozy Up Winter Reading Challenge (Kids). The challenge starts December 1st.
• Log your minutes using the app - you'll get virtual badges and raffle tickets!
• Enter your raffle tickets into our raffle prize drawings. Winners will be selected on March 21st.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is a national challenge to promote early literacy in our youngest readers. For this challenge, families are asked to create an online account for their little readers on Beanstack. Participants then log every book read to that child. Don't forget, the same book can be read more than once and can be logged more than once. For every 100 books logged, children will receive a prize. And don't worry if 1,000 sounds like too many, you'd be surprised how quickly books add up! If you read just 2 books to your child every day, you would finish the challenge in less than 2 years!

To participate:

• Create an account for your child through Beanstack
• Choose the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge
• Log books
• Earn prizes for every 100 books read!
