Technology classes are back in the Learning Lab at the Shrewsbury Public Library! Scroll down for details on some of our course offerings.
Space is limited and registration is required for all programs.
Computer Basics
Do you describe yourself as "not being good with computers"? Are you interested in getting more comfortable with them? Computer Basics classes will focus on improving your comfort level with identifying parts of a computer, using email, and more! Laptops will be provided. Limited to 8 attendees.
Get Started with Libby
Want access to e-books, audiobooks, magazines, and more, anytime and anywhere? You can with Libby! Bring your device, and join us for a class in the Learning Lab to get set up and familiar with the Libby app! Typically offered monthly. Limited to 10 attendees.
Read, Listen, and Watch with hoopla
What's all the hoopla about hoopla?! Are you looking for an alternative to Libby? Did you know your library card lets you download and stream with hoopla from the comfort of your own home? Bring your device to this in-person class and learn how to borrow digital books, audio, movies, and television series using hoopla. Limited to 10 attendees.
Tech Tuesdays
Held monthly, Tech Tuesdays will focus on a specific computer skill or software. Previous topics include Digital Privacy and Security, Microsoft Excel Basics, 3-D Printing Basics, Introduction to Google Suite, and more. Laptops will be provided for each class. Limited to 8 attendees.
Please note that Tech Tuesday classes will always be held on a Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.; registration will open on the 1st of the month prior to the program date. For example, registration for February classes will open on January 1st.
