1000 Books Before Kindergarten

1000 Books before Kindergarten image with illustrated animals reading

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is a national challenge to promote early literacy in our youngest readers. For this challenge, families are asked to create an online account for their little readers on Beanstack. Participants then log every book read to that child. Don't forget, the same book can be read more than once and can be logged more than once. For every 100 books logged, children will receive a prize. And don't worry if 1,000 sounds like too many, you'd be surprised how quickly books add up! If you read just 2 books to your child every day, you would finish the challenge in less than 2 years!

To participate in the challenge:

  1. Create an account for your child through Beanstack
  2. Choose the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge
  3. Log books
  4. Earn prizes for every 100 books read!

Please email, or call 508-841-8609, x4 if you have any questions!
